Geocache Description:

The co-ordinates take you to somewhere to park near clue A in South Cave. The actual co-ordinates of the cache are N 53 AB.CDE W 000 FG.HJK. To find the numbers represented by A to K, you have to go to the locations shown in the pictures below. In some cases you have to actually be standing at the location from where the photo was taken in order to solve the clue. If you are unfamiliar with the area, a street map would be useful. The hints tell you which road to be on.

> Clue A: This picture shows one of the oldest properties in South Cave, dating back to 1700 (In the centre of the picture.) Directly behind you is a large building that used to be home for inebriate women in the 1800s.
A=(number of letters in the whole title of this house)-(number on the lamp post)-1 Clue B: The house on the right was originally the Workhouse in Victorian times, before becoming a shop and is currently being renovated into a private residence, so it may evolve from the image shown!.
B=(number on door where the sparrows are born)+1/9 Clue C: This picture shows the church at the back and on the left is the former site of The Bay Horse, the only pub to have existed at the west end of the village.
C=(The number of people called Donkin remembered from WWI)x4; Clue D: This picture shows Frog House at the back. The name comes from the fact that historically a big migration of frogs passed through this area every year. Frog House was once a boarding school and is apparently haunted by a ghost of an ex-pupil.
D=(The number of swings)+(The number of picnic tables)-4; Clue E: This picture shows the former Girl's school on the right and the schoolmaster's house next to it.
E=The number of finials on the roof of the converted Primitive Methodist Chapel nearby.; Clue F: This picture shows a shop which was originally a Temperance Hall and in 1930 became South Cave's cinema, known as 'The Electric Cinema'.
F=(The total if you add the digits on the number of nearby Holly House)/2; Clue G: This picture shows the corner of Market Place and Church Street. The 3 Tuns Inn stood on this site and nearby was situated the local stocks, pillory and whipping post.
G=(The number of black and yellow bollards)-(The number on the solid white door to your right)/2; Clue H: This picture shows the Town Hall. The ground floor was originally a corn exchange and on the first floor was the original boys' school, 'The Cross School'. Nearby where you are standing is an historical information board.
H=The final digit of the year in which a local tradesman first issued his own halfpenny coin.; Clue J: This picture shows a milestone, indicating 10 miles to Hull.(Unfortunately, the inscription is almost illegible). This road was always been a main route and there is evidence that it has existed since Roman times. To your right you should see a public footpath sign.
J=(The number of miles to Brantingham)x3+1; Clue K: This picture shows the former Doctor's house and surgery from before the days of the NHS when you had to pay for even a consultation. Behind you, on top of the mound, is the Scout's meeting hall, which was originally a boys' school, replacing 'The Cross School'.
K=Number of chimney stacks on the house directly behind you.

The final cache is on a public right of way, but, depending on the direction from which you approach, you may have to pass a fence behind which are 3 very loud dogs. Some little geocachers (and maybe some big ones) may find this a little scary. To reiterate, you can get to the cache without passing the dogs.
