The TP3 series is located along an old fire trail/logging road. Based upon all of the old stumps, my guess would be this was most likely a logging road at one time. I enjoy walking through the woods using roads no longer used by motorized vehicles. It allows for one to be within nature while at the same time not disturbing the surrounding area with a lot of bushwhacking. I was introduced to this particular road hunting for Snakes Den and found that the road met my criteria for an easy (though long) walk and at the same time would bring folks into nature.
As with other TP series I have, all of the caches along this path are within sight of the road allowing for little to no bushwhacking and yet will bring the seeker a little closer to nature. Many of the caches are only a couple of steps off the path. Hunting is allowed in this area so please be sure to wear the appropriate level of orange during hunting season.
TP3 – Parking Rock is located at the beginning of the fire trail/logging road about where you are likely to park. Even if you’ve seen this type of cache before, I think this one will still be a little bit of a challenge.
Because I’ve rated this as a difficulty of 4, I’m giving no posted hints. However, since I believe all caches are meant to be found, I will make available two different hints if requested via e-mail. Hint 1 will be a general hint meant to confirm you are in the correct area, after all GPS can only be accurate up to 16 feet. Hint 2 will be step by step instructions (literally) to exactly where the cache is. If a hint is requested, please specify whether you want hint 1 or hint 2. Otherwise, I will assume hint 1. Based upon some feedback, I've upgraded the difficulty level to a 5. If you think this is too high, I'm always open to adjustments.
