Park in the small parking lot off at 34 Woods Road, near the entrance to the Woodlands Country Club (coordinates N43°44.993' W070°15.167'). Parking is also available in a small lot off Longwoods Road, on the left hand side shortly after you exit the rotary.
Woods Road Community forest is home to some of the only old growth forest in southern Maine. The trees are between 80 and 120 years old- 2 to 3 times older than the oldest trees elsewhere in the region. Explore the entire trail system- there is a wide variety of terrain, as it will change from mixed vegetation at the entrance, to some wetland areas, to a dark, sparse understory with a gentle, soft, rolling forest floor.
The most direct route to the cache should take about 40 minutes. Enjoy!
