Dosadodeb: Sigh. I have good intentions, but haven't gotten to replacing this cache. I'll kill it for now, but will try to hide another one nearby....sometime.

Geocache Description:

This cache is  on the grounds of the Unitarian Universalist Society of Mill Creek, adjacent to Papermill Park.  The area is beautiful.  I have stocked the cache with a variety of trinkets to make it kid-friendly, as well as a little gift package for ftf.  Feel free to park in the lot while searching for this cache, but do move your car to the Papermill Park lot if you want to do more caching in the area.

What do Transylvania, Christopher Reeve, and the first American woman ordained as a minister have in common?

Unitarian Universalism.  It is a religion founded in  1961 with the merging of Unitarianism (founded in Transylvania in the 16th century), with Universalism.  (Cool!  I was created in 1961 with the merger of...oh, never mind.)  Interestingly, while both Unitarianism and Universalism are Christian religions, Unitarian Universalism is not.  It is a creed-less religion, open to those of any faith who affirm a set of seven principles.  Olympia Brown was ordained as a Universalist minister in 1863, becoming the first American woman ordained minister.  Christopher Reeve (but I'm not sure about Superman) became a UU later in his life.
