Geocache Description:

For those of you that need an excuse to turn off the well beaten track (without getting stuck), here it is.  At the time of placing the cache, the FSR is well maintained and easily accessible by most vehicles.  Finding this cache should be easy for cachers, while being unnoticed by Muggles.

Cache History:

Well, the day started out like so many others. We (Ferret_FMR & Mossy Rock - aka Mom) had some time on our hands, and it just so happened that Ratchet_FMR was by for a visit, so of course we did what we always do, we decided to go exploring… and of course caching!

We were headed in the general direction of Bamfield, and started tackling the VLH series.

There we were at VLH 96, caching, exploring back roads, eating beef jerkey…. when we turned around and there it was - An old overgrown road! Of course, we had to take it, because none of us would be able to sleep if we did not find out where it went! Ratchet whipped out his GPS and said “Hey – there are a couple of caches up there somewhere!” Now we could quench our curiosity, and grab a couple of caches to boot – life was good!

We snagged Waterscent and Boulderdash (caches by Scoutcor & Banker 48) and could not help but notice that these caches had not seen a cacher in quite some time. It was such a beautiful area, and the caches seemed so lonely, I thought maybe if I put another cache in the area it would lure a few more adventurous cachers this way!

Thanks to my caching partner (and dear friend) Ratchet_FMR for helping me get my first cache off the ground (I know he is giggling, as he is the one who got us hooked on caching), and thanks to my son Ferret_FMR, who is always willing to do just one more cache, and who always wants to see what’s around that next corner.

You guys ROCK!

**Just a note - The area seems to be seeing a lot of new logging activity, old roads being reopened, new roads going in, so just be mindful of logging and work trucks, graders etc. while you are exploring the area.

Cache is your standard sandwich container, please rehide with care.

Located just off the shoulder of a road, plenty of room for parking.

**Please do not leave candy or any sort of food items in or around the cache, as this is bear & cougar country.**

No need to worry about trades, if you see something you like, enjoy it!

*CONGRATULATIONS TO Port Eagleeye for a FTF, and Team Pawz for a close Second!
