Geocache Description:

A new book I obtained recently about the history of Sun Valley, made mention of the Warrimoo Pool, never heard of it before, not much about it online, but I hit a couple of my old books and found a single reference in a VERY old gregorys guide to the Blue Mountains (Circa 1920-30's). It says...

Warrimoo to Fitzgerald Creek Swimming Pool. 1 mile return. Leaving Warrimoo station, turn left at the top of the steps into Railway Parade. Signposts direct to the track leading to the swimming pool. Return by same route.

Not much to go on, but there was a rough map in the Sun Valley book, and a bit of photoshop work and overlaying it on a more modern toppo, I had a set of probably co-ords to go investigate. Not bad, I was 23mtrs out with my guess. I won't say what is left, suffice to say not a lot, but there is still something there that is remaining from this popular swimming location.

The original walking track still exists as well, to a point, the gully that you used to walk down now has a house right in the middle of it, so only the lower section remains. I surveyed that section, then the new track that heads up to Cross Street at Warrimoo. If you don't want to do the Sun Valley Firetrail bash, you can take this nice track from Cross Street and pop out right near where you need to be. Change your geocaching maps to Open Street map, and you will now see the track in question. Both ways take about the same time to walk, Sun Valley Fire trail is a bit more small kid friendly, but there is nothing dangerous or difficult on this walking track either.

This is a Team Webguy cache, it is easy, it is kid friendly, it is not hard to find, there is no climbing into dark holes, climbing cliffs, did I say it was easy?? It's an ammo box of course! Plenty of swaps.

If you look at that proud, tall tree in the background, I believe that tree is still standing today!
