Geocache Description:

Thoresby Estate was home to Marie-Louise Roosevelt Pierrepont, Countess Manvers. Over the course of her lifetime the Estate was used as a training ground for the tank crews of WW2, a home, a farm, and a tourist attraction. Walk south from the Courtyard and Hall to the cricket pavilion, which you will need to comb to find this cache.

The geocache has come straight from the WW2 period. Comb the outside of the pavilion for an ammunition box. The Countess who was once resident in the Hall was a prolific artist and has taken to leaving messages for visitors encouraging them to take up the same pursuit. She has begun to hide these messages in geocaches for longevity.
