My family has clocked up thousands of miles walking the dogs round this moor over the past 40 or so years, hence the name.
Caches have come and gone, there were only a few left when I hid this which seemed a pity so we decided to add another. Originally this was a large cache but it went missing so we've replaced it with something smaller until we find a replacement. Still room for a few visitors to the area to rest.
Typically straight after I hid the cache 56Rainbow re-released the ROYGBIV series, well worth checking out.
As this is a travel bug hotel it would be great if there were always some bugs in it. Please don’t remove them all, trading would be preferred.
This could be done as an extra to a series of caches we set along a route we use when walking from Oakworth to Haworth but it would increase the mileage to approximately 5 miles .
For our walk you can park at or close to N53 50.477 W1 56.542 and pick up our caches in the following order.
Rosie’s View , Hoot Corner , Two Little Ducks , Root Line , Hobbit Hole , Donkey Field, The Bronte Family Tree
If you are doing it on its own there is plenty of free parking around the cache site, probably the easiest is N53 49.403 W001 58.198.
The container is a grey, screw top tub, approx 4" in diameter and 4" deep. Plenty of room for swaps, travel bugs and coins.
The moor can get very busy with walkers, cyclists, dog walkers, runners etc so please keep your eyes peeled, due to its location it might be worth having a look out if you have a spare body if not just keep the senses on top alert.
Please make sure the container is put back safely, chocked at the back out of sight so it doesn't stand out to passers by. The hiding is just as important as the finding here if we are to keep this cache and its contents safe!
At the time of hiding the cache contains a log book, a pencil, some bouncy balls, kids toys, pencil sharpener, pencil topper etc and the following Travel Bugs. tevjen's First To Find Micro Geo-Award, Trailblazer, Alma Mater Bug, Drabo's Travel Bug
