The Christmas Tree Trail is a 3.7 mile hiking trail within Camp Alta Mons boundaries. The other trail on the property goes to Styles Falls (great hike, however, no geocaches at the moment). The geocache is a 1/2 gallon bucket and within it is a logbook and some items to trade. This geocache is one of three I made for my Eagle Project to enhance The Christmas Tree Trail. Camp Alta Mons (www.altamons.org) is a United Methodist Church camp and their trails are open to the public during daylight hours. They have a sign in log and a place to park for hikers. When you enter the camp you will come to two buildings on either side of the driveway, turn right after the buildings and park. Sign in log on the closest building. There is no charge to hike. The trail starts to the right of the parking area, across the wooden bridge over the stream. On rare occasions they have big events at the camp and it may be closed to the public (very rare).
