Geocache Description:

At the heart of the Mattapoisett River Reserve lies The Bogs, a natural oasis located just minutes from Interstate 195 in Mattapoisett. With acres of wild-growing cranberries and rare freshwater wetlands teeming with wildlife, The Bogs invites visitors to discover and explore Buzzards Bay's unique upland habitats.

Begin your geocaching adventure at the entrance to The Bogs on Acushnet Road, where 50 acres of cranberry bogs welcome you with classic southeastern New England scenery. Walking trails criss-cross the cranberry bogs, leading visitors toward an extensive freshwater swamp and into woods of pine and oak. The Bogs is an exceptional place to enjoy and appreciate nature and wildlife.

The cache is a small, marked jar. Sign the log book, take a sticker and a prize, and enjoy The Bogs. If anything is missing from the cache, please let us know.
