Geocache Description:

The cache location is a very short distance from the actual tree. You are looking for a small camouflaged container. This is an area which has a high traffic potential so stealth may be required. It does take a bit of adjustment to replace the cache properly so please be aware of that fact.

This caught my eye a short time ago. As I passed I saw the glint of a metal tag on the side of a tree.  Having a greater than average curiosity in the area of trees I stopped to take a look. It identified that particular tree as

THE STANGLE BEAN TREE

Remaining remnant of the Haunted House at 1001 Bluemont Ave.

That would be the SW corner of 10th and Bluemont in Manhattan, Kansas. Just the kind of oddity I thought warranted a cache placement. This is my first foray into the area of the micro cache. I vastly prefer a cache with room for swag and trackables but I could not figure a way to place anything else in this location. At least nothing that would have any chance of remaining.

So far I have not been able to find any other information relating to a haunted structure at this location. I will continue to research this and update the listing information if I find anything.

The image above is a photo of the plaque as I originally found it. It is now gone. Probably taken by someone for a souvenir. Too bad. Congrats to Ladybug Rose and Semmels123 on the FTF!
