This cache was placed for our niece, Chelsea. She has always demonstrated enthusiasm towards geocaching.
She is a great little cacher. Even when she has no GPS unit, or data, she is still out there looking with a map. I actually received a log from a fellow cacher, that said they had to wait out three young cachers who were caching with only a map. That was Chelsea, her older sister and a friend. And just for the record, they never found that cache.
So for Chelsea, and other cachers without a GPS, here is some extra help.
Beyond the soccer field, at the back of the park, there are a number of Spruce Trees. The cache is on the ground under one of those trees. The tree is right beside the bike trail. To get to it you will likely have to move like a snake, and fight off some of the prickly needles. There is a metal support post in there, the cache is right near that post.
Update September 10, 2013
It appears, the original cache went missing, and was replaced September 9, 2013, by Hannah, Alissa and Amanda. (Other kind cachers) I just want to say "Thank-You" for taking care of this cache. That was a very nice thing to do.
Bug Finders Update July 15, 2015
Cache was moved to a nearby Spruce Tree, as the original tree was cut by the Hydro crew. How ironic, why do they only cut the trees with caches in them?
Good Luck and Happy Caching!
