Geocache Description:

This cache is the third in an occasional series of Crystal Palace Football Club related caches. Partly they are to celebrate events or individuals and also try to make up for the limited pre-match caching opportunities!

#3 in the series, a magnetic nano, was set on Sunday 18th August 2013 to celebrate Palace's return to the top flight of English football.

Palace returned to the top flight thanks to a 1-0 win in the play-off final against Watford at Wembley on 27th May 2013. Kevin Phillips scored from the spot in stoppage time at the end of the first half of extra time, after Marco Cassetti had brought down Wilf Zaha in the box.

This season is Palace's 5th in the Premiership (or Premier League). They were last in the Premiership in 2004/5, when they were relegated on the last day of the season. Hopefully, Palace will be able to retain their place in the Premiership - a feat they have ever previously achieved.

Palace have appeared in the top flight for a further 9 seasons before the Premiership era. Their best performance was in 1990/91 when they finished in 3rd place.

Palace's return was marked with a 1-0 defeat to Spurs. The cache was placed after the game in front of 23,285 muggles

As GPS readings were variable, I have used Google maps for the coordinates, but you may need the hint to help you locate the cache.

When logging your find electronically, it would be interesting to share your predictions for who will win that season's Premiership (I reckon for 2013/14 it will be Manchester United). I'd also like to see who's brave enough to try to find it on match days - remember that's when it was placed.

CONGRATULATIONS - FTF tjsdp
