Geocache Description:

Going Golfing 4

Ernie Els was playing golf in the Strand. At the 11th Hole, he had a shocker of a Tee shot and hacked the ball into the local bird santuary.

He needed to retrieve his ball as this ball was his lucky charm. So he phoned a friend that specialises in Geocaching and off he went to the entrance of the park.

Your task as the specialist is to go to the given Coordinates and retrieve the hidden cache.

Please note that you might get wet and you might need to climb a tree or two in able to retrieve the cache.

Shoes is recommended as in Summer the field has thorns that can cause painfull feet.

This episode you will learn more about the scoring of the golfing shot.

In every form of play, the goal is to play as few strokes per round as possible. A golfer's score is usually expressed as the difference between the player's number of strokes and the par score. A hole in one (or an "ace") occurs when a golfer sinks his ball into the cup with his first stroke from the tee. Common scores for a hole also have specific terms.

Numeric term                             Name Definition

− 4 Condor                                Four strokes under par

− 3 Albatross or Double Eagle    Three strokes under par

− 2 Eagles                                   Two strokes under par

− 1 Birdie                                    One stroke under par

= Even                                        Equal to par

+1 Bogey                                    One stroke over par

+2 Double bogey                        Two strokes over par

+3 Triple bogey                          Three strokes over par
