Geocache Description:

American Robin

This is the last bird on "Bird View Lane" which parallels the Legacy Nature Preserve west of Legacy Parkway.

Illustration: American robin

The American Robin's often confiding nature, distinctive plumage, pleasing song, and acceptance of human-dominated habitats make it one of the most beloved of North American birds. A distinctive, potbellied bird. Forages on lawns and other areas of short vegetation for earthworms and other invertebrates in a run-and-stop pattern typical of terrestrial thrushes. I have always enjoyed the Robins that visit my backyard. It is appropriate that the Robin is the last of the birds we honor on "Bird View Lane". I have really enjoyed putting together this series of caches. I hope that you enjoy the easy finds and learn more about our feathered friends. Thanks.

CONGRATULATIONS to bossmanron for FTF.
