spot-16. Part of the 20 in the hood Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Church Warden: This cache has been unavailable for some time as the feeder cache has been archived and as the owner has not responded to recent logs or logged in for some time I am archiving it.

The Geocache Maintenance guideline explains a CO's responsibility towards checking and maintaining the cache when problems are reported. Caches that have been archived for lack of maintenance will not be unarchived. This is explained in the Help Center.

If you wish to email me please send your email via my profile (click on my name) and quote the cache name and number.

Geocache Description:

Spots 15-19 are a multi-cache puzzle.

You MUST complete spot-15 before you can do this spot!

A black magnetic 1ml nano containing only a log book.

You'll need your own pen.

First To Find

I have placed a FTF badge in the same hiding place tucked behind the cache container. It is neatly wrapped in plastic. FTF please claim with pride!

Be careful not to drop it or the container...

The Coordinates

Do not used the above coordinates, they are only for suggested parking and to give an idea of the general cache location!

The true cache location is:

        N 51° 55.ABG W 000° 11.JHD

where the values of the letters are obtained from completing spot-15.

The Location

The cache is reachable from the path, and you should keep to the HIGH GROUND. You don't need to go searching around in the bushes. Indeed, to do so would be foolish!

Why 20 in the hood?

I run the local Scout troop, St Nicholas Scouts. We have dubbed the neighbourhood as 'the hood'. By this we mean St Nicholas and the fringes of the surrounding areas, i.e. Pin Green, Martins Wood, and Great Ashby. I endeavour to place twenty (and then possibly more) caches in the hood. My motivation for this is threefold:

1) Ensure a sufficient number of caches in the hood so that the Scouts can go geocaching on a Scout night;

2) Increase the number of caches in the hood with a view of helping provide a good, healthy, recreational activity for the 'hoodlans' and help keep them out of mischief;

3) Give something back to the geocaching community in return for all those that have kindly placed caches for me (and the rest of the world) to find.
