Morris Greenberg found in 1854 the “M. Greenberg, Eagle Brass Foundry” in San Francisco. The new foundry served the maritime industry and the utilities of the city. Its proudest product and invention however was the California-type fire hydrant.
The one you see here is the model No.74 produced around the 1940’s. The letters S.F. stand for San Francisco.
