CCARF13 - Geocaching Help Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Cache Effect: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

The world of geocaching is fun, interesting and unique. There are caches and cachers everywhere! You can find caches with family, friends or even by yourself. There are no limits to the things you can find or the fun you can have! Some people like to take it slow and only find caches if they happen upon them during a hike or a kayak trip. Others like to try to get them all and will purposely go out of their way just to increase their numbers.

As with cachers, each cache has a set or traits or a personality as we professionals like to call it. Not every cacher will love every cache but just because you don't like it doesn't mean no one else does! For example, challenge caches are often under discussion. Some people love the kick in the pants that gets them out of their comfort zone while others don't see the fun in limiting yourself (in certain cases). Whatever your stance on the matter, just remember not to discourage anyone! Geocaching is supposed to be fun!

As was previously mentioned, caching is meant to be fun but just like anything that gives you that rush of adrenaline, it can become an issue. The geocaching addicts are the people you used to see out at dinners or other social events but now they only show up if there's a cache nearby (A.K.A. a caching agenda). They're the ones who need the FTFs (First To Finds) and at least a cache a day to keep up a streak. The addicts are always looking for new challenges and will often take on a few at a time just to keep themselves busy. They are often under the impression that they can never find enough caches! There are quite a few of these people in our very city. They could be your neighbour, your childrens teacher, your spouses boss, or even your own father. Do not be afraid! Though you may be nervous if approached by an addict, keep in mind that they are very friendly and will likely only ask for your help locating a cache. Be aware that they may try to recruit you into the sickness that geocaching can become.

If you or someone you know is at risk - or maybe even already is an addict - visit the above coordinates to get professional help and additional resources. The doctor is always in and I can personally guarantee that the sessions are inexpensive.

The cache should be sturdy enough, but we ask that you try to treat it gently and with respect so that it may last throughout the event and into the future. You will need a tool, but it has been provided. You'll know what to do.

Feel free to take pictures and post them, but try not to give away the secret to the cache. We want it to be a fun surprise for everyone!
