Geocache Description:


The Christchurch Gondola takes you from Bridle Path Road in Heathcote Valley up to the top of Mount Cavendish. It doesn't have a luge like the Queenstown Gondola, but it does offer views of the whole of Christchurch!

For the fit, this 10 minute Gondola ride can be replaced with a stroll up the Bridle Path itself, or one can also drive along Summit Road to within about 300m of the summit of Mount Cavendish (Summit Road is closed between here and the Rapaki Track)

However you choose to get here, you will not be disappointed by the view! (Unless it's an overcast day!) But of course, due to the nature of the location, stealth will be required. Though the cache has been placed on the other side to the main action.
