Geocache Description:

This is our first attempt at placing a cache so any feedback would be welcomed. The cache is located in a clearing between two footpaths next to the river that boarders Potterne Park, Verwood. Parking can be found in the gravel car park at the end of Potterne Way for free.

Potterne Park is a large area used for sports and recreation. It has recently had an outdoors fitness trail and new children's play park built along with a all weather pitch for the local sports teams. It is the home of Verwood FC and RFC. Walks from the park lead to Moores Valley Country Park following the river Crane. From the car park cross the river and follow the track to the right. Use one of the cut throughs to get off the gravel path and onto the mud path that runs directly alongside the river. This can be quite muddy in the winter so remember your wellies! It can be accesses from the gravel path but the way in is very difficult to find at certain times of the year as it gets overgrown.
