Geocache Description:

Having parents who live in a traditional Cretan village with no Cache’s, a young boy who enjoys looking for Caches with his Dad & the opportunity to obtain a Hobby badge with the Beaver Scouts, it made sense to place a Cache! This is the first cache we placed as an attempt to give something back to the GeoCache family and give you the opportunity to visit a traditional Cretan Village Vrahassi

We placed the cache at the dried up fountain at the Western end of the village. Apparently the fountain was one of the focal points of the village many years ago with the village women coming to wash and exchange the latest stories and gossip from Vrahassi. The cache container is a plastic waterproof box with log, pencil and a few trinkets. We have also placed a note, in Greek & English, explaining the relevance of the cache and pointing any muggles to GeoCaching.com. Happy hunting!
