Geocache Description:

For your safety don't go anywhere near the tracks - they are still operational. Respect the parking limitations. Property owner has given permission for this cache and to use parking. Parking is available on the side road as well. Be careful backing out onto Chemainus Road!!

The Chemainus Herald, on November 19, 1959 wrote this description of the service: "Fast, dependable...go 'Dayliner' to business appointments. Travel in air-conditioned comfort to holiday centres. Swift, smooth, diesel-powered 'Dayliner' service is just 2 hours and 15 minutes between Victoria and Nanaimo - 4, hours and 15 minutes from Victoria to Courtney...it's time saving and so economical to travel the Island by 'Dayliner'. No advance reservations required." This service was available off and on until the year 2010 when it was discontinued because of track deterioration; however, the tracks are still used for the transportation of freight.
