From Mobile To More
When:	February 8th, 2014, 2:00pm
Where:	Riverview Fire Hall, Riverview, NB
Purpose:	To learn about the differences between geocaching with a mobile device, and a dedicated GPS.
If you've been using a smartphone for geocaching and are wondering about whether you should switch to a dedicated GPS, then this is an event for you. We'll be reviewing the use of several mobile/smartphone geocaching applications and how they work. From iOS to Android, we'll cover both official and non-official apps and talk about some of the pros and cons. Then we'll discuss the biggest reasons why most dedicated geocachers prefer to use a handheld GPS. Why are they better, what's the best model for you, and how geocaching with a GPS is different than with a smartphone. All are welcome but we'd love to see a lot of newer cachers out who may have some questions about going from mobile to more. Come on out and see why many of us use the units we have. The event will be held in the education room at the Riverview Fire Hall at 2pm.
