The cache is a clip-lock box often referred to as a "bacon box" because of its perfect size and shape for storing bacon! The box is hidden inside a brown sock to provide cover. This could easily be done as a cache & dash but we hope you'll take the time to explore our beautiful village while you're here.
In Summer the coverage is good and although stealth will be required you will be very well hidden from passers by, in Winter this may prove to be somewhat different! Terrain in the general vacinity is good but buggies/wheelchairs won't get right up to GZ, they will still be in sight though if you park them in the right spot. Long trousers and sensible shoes are advised - once you get close to GZ there are branches & brambles to contend with. A torch might prove helpful.
This area is best avoided at around 3pm as the nearby school kicks out at ten past and this is a popular waiting spot for parents. The roads around will be busy around 08:30 with coaches dropping off but there should still be plenty of chance to grab the cache unseen.
Joe would really like it if people swap badges but feel free to leave other things too, just please don't take a badge unless you have one to leave.
Could easily be combined with Night Hawke GC1QVV8 and we hope you'll visit our other caches in Beyton if you haven't yet (GC31A1C Quaker Farm & GC329FN Oak Tree Pond)
