This cache will bring you to the vicinity of the old Kongwak Butter Factory. Here you'll find a couple of significant buildings in the history of the area.
The factory was first building in town, constructed in 1896 to service the growing local dairy community. The town soon started to grow around it. Factory workers needed somewhere to live! Over the years the factory and community thrived, but gradually production costs began to exceed profits. Eventually, there was a merger with the Korumburra Butter Factory in the 70's, which saw the closure of the factory. Most businesses closed, and houses were moved away from the town as the population dwindled.
These days the factory is looking quite run down, but the town is re-discovering itself. There's a community noticeboard near GZ where you might find out about some of the current local attractions.
Most days this should be a fairly straight forward drive-by, but Sunday mornings may be a bit more difficult as there is a local market close by.
The cache is BYO pen and no room for swaps. Keep an eye out for the muggles that we discovered can appear from various directions on any day of the week with very little warning.
