Play ball Traditional Cache

This cache is located off a path near the Bunker Hill baseball fields in Shamokin, PA. You can park near the field entrance, walk back the rocky road, and take a path back to find the cache. There used to be roads here that you were able to take with a car that would take you to Fidler's green and Coal run. They have been blocked off, or have gotten bad through the years.

 The baseball fields have been there for many yrs. There are 3 fields there now. I couldn't find much history on them. I remember when the small field was built down by the picnic area. There was an old playground there before that. I played there  in the 1980's for R.C. A. ( A) and Rescue fire co. (AA) Our coach used to take us home through the old roads that you used to be able to take with a car. He used to tell us to watch for the Bunker Hill monster!

 It was also a quicker way to walk to the smaller coal mining villages those roads took you to if you were coming from Shamokin. I walked and drove those roads many times.
