How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

6" X 6" plastic jar hidden on a overlook at the former Washington Valley Reservoir in Bridgewater, NJ. Pen provided. Plenty of room for trackables and trade items.

Parking here might be challenging. I parked without incident on Gilbride nearby, but the road is marked "No Through Traffic." Still , there are no "No Parking" signs here unlike almost every inch of roadway along Chimney Rock Rd. You could certainly park in the lot in Newmans Lane, but that would put you some distance away.

In any case, you will know why the cache is so named when you find it. And even in the summer, it affords a terrific view of the reservoir. Wine berries, long a favorite of my family, grow in abundance nearby.

CONGRATULATIONS TO HOODFIELD for his FTF! But at 4:27 AM? Since when is geocaching a cure for insomnia?!
Enjoy and God bless.
