Bo Schembechler, Michigan 1969-1989
Bo resurrected the Michigan football program shortly after arriving in 1969 by beating #1 and defending national champion Ohio State. In 21 years as the head coach, he won 194 games, won or shared 13 Big Ten championships and coached in 10 Rose Bowls. 16 of his 21 teams finished in the top ten in the final rankings. Only Joe Paterno and Tom Osborne won 200 games in their career quicker than Bo. He tragically died on the eve of the 2006 version of #1 Ohio State against #2 Michigan.
