Geocache Description:

A well built dirt road, off Route 16 between Stratton and Rangeley, very well marked with signs inviting the public to the scenic lookout at the top.

Professional dark brown signs tell you when you are approaching the turnoff to the dirt road.  A sign at the beginning tells you that it is a 12 minute drive to the top.  Then other signs notify you that it is 9 minutes, then 6, then 3 to the top.  One way traffic as the road gets steeper near the end. A nice flat parking area, a guest book to sign and breathtaking 360 degree views of the mountains and lakes from Stratton to Rangeley and beyond.  The cache is a micro/small, in other words there is room to trade very small items and there are five items in there to begin.  Bring your own pen or pencil. You are also supposed to follow the speed limit signs, 25 miles to start, then 20.  ATVs, off-road vehicles and motor bikes are told at one point to drive 15 mph.  Please obey the rules so the public can continue to enjoy this!
