Unfortunately there's been some continuing issues with this cache and there is no reaction from the owner. Since the cache no longer meets the Guidelines requirements, I am archiving it. I'm also archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

If you think you have legitimate reasons for lack of maintenance and want to restore the cache in the near future, please let me know as soon as possible by the email provided in my profile. The message must include the GC code and the name of the cache. If the cache meets the requirements of the Guidelines and the reasons for unarchiving are justified, I may unarchive the cache.

IMPORTANT:
In case of permanent archiving of the cache, the owners are obliged to remove everything that they have placed on the field in relation to the cache (container and all placed waypoints).

Geocache Description:

Monument to fallen in World War II which was erected by the locals surrouding areas, with a beautiful view of Kvarner.

The idea of the scale model of the monument is the work of the famous sculptor Rijeka Vinko Matkovic (1911th to 1973rd). Harmoniushands Kastav stonemasons and bricklayers sculptor turned the idea into practice. In Kastavian stones have given his soul and created an imposing memorial - feature. It says that the paper highlighted Zamlić Francis, John Feathery, Joseph Rubeša, Wendell Smith (my husband´s grandfather), Ivo Škvarč and Dušan Frlan. People come and go, but it remains a monument that proudlyrecalls some of the new generation of all those who have incorporated the most valuable things they had in the freedom of their homeland. Let them be remembered forever. Ideja i maketa ovog spomenika djelo su poznatog riječkog akademskog kipara Vinka Matkovića (1911. - 1973.). Složne ruke kastavskih klesara i zidara kiparevu zamisao pretvorile su djelo. U kastavski kamen utkali su svoju dušu i stvorili impozantno spomen - obilježje. Zapisano je da su se u radu posebno istaknuli Franjo Zamlić, Ivan Pernat, Josip Rubeša, Vendel Kovač (nono mog supruga), Ivo Škvarč i Dušan Frlan. Ljudi dolaze i odlaze, ali ostaje spomenik koji s ponosom podsjeća neke nove generacije na sve one koji su ugradili ono najvrijednije sto su imali u slobodu svoje domovine. Neka im je vječni spomen.
