As I sit high in the tree, I can now sit out on my pirch and watch day fly by. . . . . . . Welcome to my House Of The Rising Sun. . . . . .

"The House Of The Rising Sun" is a traditional folk song, also sometimes call "Rising Sun Blues"

In 1964 a version of this song was made famous by the band "The Animals" There is a house in New Orleans They call the Rising Sun And it's been the ruin of many poor boys And God, I know I'm one ~Man, the lyrics meant something back then, you could almost close your eyes and see the story unfold!!!~ My mother was a tailor She sewed my new blue jeans My father was a gamblin' man Down in New Orleans ~And this was a way of life, maybe not the best way. . . . Life has its struggles, but it's how you over come them. . . . ~ Now the only thing a gambler needs Is a suitcase and trunk And the only time he's satisfied Is when he's on a drunk ~Dad gambled, struggled with drinkin', hell didn't know if he was comin' home at night~ Oh, mother, tell your children Not to dowhat I have done Spend your lives in sinand misery in the house of the rising ~The climax of the song was here, no doubt about it. ~ Well. I got one foot on the platform The other foot on the train I'm goin' back to New Oleans To wear that ball and chain ~ I myself was not around when this song came about, but it is one of my all time favorites! When it comes on the radio, it's time to crank it up loud! ! ! !~ Well, there is a House in New Oleans They call the Rising Sun And it's been the ruin of many a poor boy And God, I know I'm one. . . . . .
