Carr Heys - 3 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Nuventurers: Yes it has gone missing again and so has Carr Heys 3 where the tree containing the cache has been set alight and burnt out. There are too many vandals using the woods these days so reluctantly we have decided to Archive the series. Will collect the remaining 2 caches and leave the woods for what is left of the wildlife.

Geocache Description:

Carr Hey Woods is a small area of woodland at the back of Tarleton Sports Ground. It is in roughly rectangular shape with ditches on all sides. Access is by foot bridges adjacent to Carr Heys -2 and on the left hand side by Carr Heys  - 4 . All the caches can be found within the wood area and there is no need to cross ditches or pass through wire fencing. It was a bit of a struggle fitting four caches in this area but after some jiggery pokery we got there eventually

The woods are full of footpaths are a favourite of local dog walkers and children especially in Summer so keep an eye open for the many muggles about.

You will be likely to see Grey Squirrel's scampering about and a few different bird species in Spring and Summer.

There is plenty of car parking space available at the Sports Ground Car Park or at the Rugby Club next door, except perhaps on Sunday Morning's during the Football Season.

This cache is a Tube containing a log sheet & Pencil.
