Geocache Description:

Lott's Pond

Thanks to martletsman for allowing me to add another cache to this wonderful series!

More information on dewponds can be found here. http://www.dewponds.co.uk/

Lott's Pond is situated in a wood known as the Grubbings on the hill to the east of Stanmer village.

I have heard a story that many years ago a horse called Lott died of thirst near this spot. Locals then got together to build a pond to make sure that such a tragedy would not happen again. It would be good to know if this is a true story or local folklore.

The area is popular with local dog walkers. This pond seems to be a favorite place for the dogs to have a dip.

With its beautiful woodland walks and extensive open lands, Stanmer Park is perfect for a walk with our without a dog.

You are looking for a small 3 inch square black box

There is a Small log book but no pen (please bring one along).

There may just be room for small trackables.
