In the late 1940s, Beeb's grandmother, on this very spot, chucked a leg of lamb into the Irish Sea. Newly wed, she received from her mother-in-law a leg of lamb as a gift to make a fine meal for her new husband. Unfortunately, Beeb's grandmother didn't know how to cook a leg of lamb (this was long before Google, you see...). Embarrassed, she slinked away with the meat and scaled Bray Head. Like an Olympic discus thrower, she swung herself 'round three times and threw that leg of lamb into the sea.
This cache commemorates that event.
