Geocache Description:

This is number twentyone in that wildly acclaimed series of themed caches by The Lost Patrol. No animals were harmed in the placement of this cache. You are looking for a quart and a half sized lock and lock plastic container.

I found an interesting cinder plug just east of Bumphead Reservoir and decided to climb up and see what was on top. You won't be disappointed either. The plug is best ascended from the east side. It is like climbing steep stairs. Bring your binoculars and a camera.

Do not attempt the Bumphead Road in a Civic or Corolla. You will need a high clearance vehicle with good tires. The main road, the CCC Road is closed with gates to motorized travel from November 1 through April 15.

Tell me in your log what kind of wildlife you see out here. The guy who told us about this spot claims to have seen an elk. We saw ducks, geese and pronghorn.

During maintenance I placed two stubby pencils in the cache. I don't want to see any more logs stating "I left my pen in the car". Be a Boy Scout, Be Prepared.
