Geocache Description:

A mini trail of three easy caches created by SuperLizzy, GeoGodders1 & AlyNorth.  This trail will take you along a footpath in the village of Copford.

It consists of:

GC48MM7 Let’s Go For A Strawberry S…troll

GC4D9BB Holey Moley

GC4MZJG Where On The Corner?

Great for a short walk with the kids or a stroll with the dogs.  If you’re feeling energetic after the third cache, carry on the footpath, through the farm, up to Church Road, along the field and back down through Copford Woods.

The Copford Church geocache (GC1N58W) has parking (see additional waypoint), why not try that cache too (if you haven’t already), or just admire the pretty church and grounds.  There are also a few caches in the village that would fit in nicely with these caches.

The trail starts at the footpath sign near the road entrance to Copford Church/Copford Cricket Club/Copford Hall.  It is approximately half a mile from the start, to the third cache at the end.

We wouldn’t recommend using a bike, only because even though the path is wide enough in most places, the ground is a little uneven and slightly sloped in places.  Clumsy Mum (AlyNorth) fell off hers!  The footpath narrows off a bit near the Roman River because it is a little overgrown on either side. Please supervise children, especially as this mini trail takes you over the river and near to a pond further along.  We placed these caches in September and the river contained plenty of fish, so maybe bring a little bit of bread/food to feed them.

Two of the three caches contain swapsies, so feel free to come prepared to swap items.

The footpath is occasionally used by dog walkers, so listen out for those pesky muggles when you’re searching!

Finally, thank you for taking the time to do our caches!  We do hope you enjoy them?

GC4MZJG: This is the third and final one of the trail.  You're looking for a bright but camo'd, well hidden small cache in the area where the footpath bends round.  The cache contains a logbook, a pen and some fun swapsies for the children smiley
