Geocache Description:

Benjamin Rush State Park has occupied these grounds of the former Philadelphia State (Byberry) Hospital, since 1975. The superintendant's home, doctors residences, & maintenance buildings were all on this side of the boulevard. This new development began last year. The posted hours are between 8:00AM and Sunset. This cache is in a small grove just off of the Park Loop trail. Take a break and sit a while. They've even provided benches for that purpose.

Entrance to the park is just off of Southampton Road and shares the driveway with the Veteran's Home. Please park in one of the small blacktopped parking areas, NOT on the road, and make your way to the nearest trail access. Cache is a medium size camoed container. Rest time's over. Yes, you will have to get away from the bench for this one. Contains a few kid friendly trinkets, as well as an unactivated trackable prize for FTF.

Congrats to dryvitman17 on another FTF!
