Der Müllberg
Die „Mülldeponie Rossau“ wurde von 1946 bis 1976 zur Ablagerung von Hausmüll, Sperrmüll, Klärschlamm, gewerblichem und industriellem Abfall sowie Bauschutt genutzt. Insgesamt wurde eine Abfallmenge von rund 3 Mio. m³ abgelagert. Durch organisch und anorganisch belastete Sickerwässer kam es zu einem erheblichen Schadstoffeintrag und einer Verunreinigung des Grundwassers. In den Jahren 1999 bis 2007 fand die Sicherung der Altablagerung statt. Nach Maßnahmen zur Abdichtung, geordneten Entwässerung der Oberfläche, Erfassung von Deponiegasen gilt die Deponie heutzutage als gesichert.
Heute wird auf dem vollständig begrünten Müllberg der Golfschläger geschwungen, dort findet sich die 1. Öffentliche Golfübungsanlage in Innsbruck und man ahnt nicht worauf man steht. An den Golfplatz grenzt eine Kompostierungsanlage der Stadt Innsbruck und im Westen befindet sich neben der Kläranlage auch der Baggersee Rossau.
The mountain of rubbish
The „landfill Rossau“ was operated from 1946 until 1976, disposing a total of 3 mio. cubic meters of industrial and non-industrial waste. Water seeping through the landfill heavily laden with organic and inorganic contaminants led to a considerable pollution in ground water. Beginning in 1997 bioremediation lasted until 2007. After sealing, draining and collecting the gas the landfill is considered as safe.
Nowadays on the fully greened surface of this mountain of rubbish golf enthusiast can be seen swinging the golf club, as the first public driving range in Innsbruck is located there. A composting plant of the city of Innsbruck adjoins as well as the quarry pond Rossau in the west.

Wegen der nächsten Baustelle ist die Station 4 noch ein paar Meter in den Westen gewandert. Daher gibt es auch eine neue Berechnungsformel für das Finale.
