Geocache Description:

An easy hike to an easy, or maybe not so easy, cache.

Welcome to Hardin County's Arthur Hilker Wildlife Area.  This used to be Mr. Hilker's farm, but upon his death was converted to a pheasant habitat.  Quite often you will hear, and sometimes see, the pheasants out in the grass along with a number of other types of wildlife.  By the sign is a remnant of the farm days; the old turd hearse (aka the manure spreader.)  Don't worry, the turds are long gone and all that's left for you to find is the cache.

This cache has been placed with permission of the Hardin County Conservation Board.  Please park in the designated parking area to the east and the cache is a nice short hike from there.  Don't attempt to get to the cache from the gravel road since there is a ditch and a barbed wire fence in the way.  This is a wildlife area so please keep your dog on a leash.  Also, this is a public hunting area so wear orange in season.

FTF gets bragging rightscool

You are looking for a log only, magnetic container and as such, BYOP.  Take care not to drop it in the grass and please put it back as you found it.  Finally, there is no need for you to climb on the turd hearse to get the cache so stay off it.

Congrats to The 3 Elves for the FTF!
