Our crew recently spent an evening cheering on the Norfolk Tides. We had great seats and it was a beautiful night for baseball. While enjoying the game our oldest son asked why baseball stadiums are always next to railroad tracks. We didn’t really have an answer for him but it got us thinking about all the baseball stadiums we have visited.

Savannah Sand Gnats
Billings Mustangs
Tacoma Rainiers
Seattle Mariners*

A nearby baseball fan overheard our conversation. He turned around and gave us a pretty good explanation. He suggested that the land next to railroad tracks is usually fairly cheap. Plus, in larger metro areas there are often times commuter trains that bring fans to the games.
So, in honor of baseball stadiums and the tracks that run by them, we have placed BB Trax to cheer on the Peninsula Pilots. A pair of gloves or a sturdy stick may be of help.
Please be gentle with the log container. It is not meant to be removed.
What stadiums have you visited?
This cache is a member of a series of Wheel Pals caches we are putting out. Our kids have outgrown them so it’s time to put them all to good use!
