Geocache Description:

Octoberfest stared October 12th 1810 when Prince Ludwig of Bavaria celebrated his Marriage to Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen, about 40,000 attended. Today the fest is still celebrated but at a smaller scale.

A stein is referred to as being a beer container with a handle and a hindged lid.

Around the 14th Centery the spread of the boubonic plague throughtout Europe forced Germany to take precautions, so a law was written stating that all beverage containers needed a lid             "PROST"
