IsqubaAndNawty: I know some who attended have not logged but it is time to put this to bed.

Hope everyone enjoyed lunch by the bay and had fun learning/teaching.

I see the next learn event as placing and publishing caches. This will be a discussion and will give everyone who attends an opportunity to express themselves. Stay tuned.

Geocache Description:

If you show me yours, I’ll show you mine

(GPS that is).

When: September 29th at 12:30 pm until 3:30pm
Where: Tyndale Park in Barrie
Who: Anyone wishing to have a picnic by the bay and/or wishes to learn more about their GPS unit.

Join us at the park for a bring-your-own picnic lunch.

At about 1:30 pm we will begin the learn portion of the afternoon.  The learning portion of the afternoon will start with a short talk about general use and care of your GPS unit. Then we will form into work groups with like or similar GPS units. Nawty will provide a list of items that your GPS should be capable of doing and it is your group’s mission to share knowledge to accomplish every item on the list. This is a great opportunity for those who do not own a handheld GPS to learn how they work.

The learn portion of the afternoon is not appropriate for children. There is a playground in the park to keep them entertained. It is the parent’s responsibility to supervise their children and keep them safe from the water as this park is on the beautiful shores of Kempenfelt Bay.
