東京都民の日について About Tokyo Citizen's Day
１０月１日は東京都民の日です。東京の施政は１８９８年のこの日に始まりました。 東京のジオキャッシンググループは共同でこの日を祝いキャッシュを設置しました。多くいの都立の施設、公園、庭園、ホールの入場料は無料となり東京ディズニーランドは割引となります。
The 1st of October is Tokyo Citizen’s Day. On this day in 1898, the State of Tokyo was established. We, the members of geocaching groups in Tokyo, celebrate this occasion by hiding this cache, along with many other caches, all over our city. Many city-run parks, museums, zoos, and other attractions will be free on this day, and special discounts are offered at Tokyo Disney Land.

天桂寺は４世紀の歴史がある曹洞宗の寺で、この地域の歴史に深く関わりのある岡部氏一族が創設しました。「杉並」の地名は江戸時代に青梅街道沿いに立っていた杉並からとよく聞きますが、その杉はこの地域の領主であった岡部氏が領地の境界線として植えたそうです。天桂寺には岡部氏一族の墓附位牌があり、杉並区の文化財と指定されています。
キャッシュはハイマグルの場所に隠してあるので、ヒントをご覧になられてから探して下さい。特に車と自転車にはご注意を。
Tenkeiji Temple, which belongs to the Soto school of Zen Buddhism, has a history spanning four centuries. This religious complex was built by the Okabe clan, whose lord is known for planted cedars along what is now Oume Kaido (Oume Boulevard). Those cedars (sugi in Japanese) gave the name suginami (or "rows of cedars") to this Tokyo ward. At this temple are the tombstones of the Okabe clan.
