Geocache Description:

Let's celebrate International Earthcache Day in a restored quarry! Join me at Jelkes Creek Bird Sanctuary picnic area for a BYOP (Bring Your Own Picnic) event from noon - 2 pm.

Let's get together and kick-off Earth Science Week with a picnic event celebrating International Earthcache Day!

Who: Geocachers, wanna-be geocachers, rockhounds, muggle friends & family, and leashed pets

What: Bring your own picnic lunch (dessert will be provided) and let's socialize. There will also be prizes!!!

When: Sunday, October 13, 2013 @ noon - 2 pm

Where: Jelkes Creek Bird Sanctuary picnic area in Sleepy Hollow, IL

Why: For fun! There are already a variety of geocaches in the preserve for your geocaching pleasure and an earthcache is currently in the works. Jelkes Creek also offers two fishing ponds and paths accommodate hikers, bikes, and horses.

Thanks Dundee85 for this info: Note to anyone approaching from the south to come via Rt 31 because McClean / Sleepy Hollow Rd will be closed under I90 from 9/25 til 10/25/13.
