Shining Stone Trail
Several years ago flood waters cut off this trail, but recently it has been rerouted and opened once again, a lovely scenic hike. Stay on the upper trail! If you try to take the old route you will not get there. This means when you get to the bench, bear left !! Thanks to Manitoba Parks for making the effort to get this route open again, as its proximity to the campground and beautiful views make this a really great short hike, just about 2 km. round trip from trailhead.
Up and down, past a nice bench to rest and enjoy the fabulous view, almost all the way to the end......down you go, past the last old handrail, hard left , bank on a quick find !
Don't forget to examine the whole trail, lots of hidden views and quiet places to find. There are lower trails along the water as well, don't get your feet wet !
