Geocache Description:

This cache is for my Dad. He was a Navigator on a P2-V while he was in the Navy. I'm very proud of him (As always). When I was a kid he once hoisted me into the plane before he was going out and I got to pretend I was flying the plane. I'll never forget that. I'd like to think I got some navigational skills and interest in aviation from him. They used a compass, maps, etc. at that time. It's very impressive to me navigating using that method. I think the GPSR is awesome but I still carry a magnetic compass for back-up when in the woods, etc. thanks to his advice.
