This is a NIGHT CACHE
You will begin your stroll at the coordinates listed.
Following the markers you will see a variety of interesting sights. There is a mosaic on one of the bridge supports, a wind chime that you can ring, washer and horseshoe pits, lights strung on metal supports, stone pillars topped by ever changing lights, a mosaic truck that serves as a picnic table, runners and walkers with children and dogs, fishermen along the river bank, and a variety of plants.
This area was once part of Neff's Amusement Park and Miniature Golf Course which was a favorite place for folks to spend time in the summer months. The aging park finally was turned over to the city which decided to create the current park in its place. Parts of the old golf course are still visible and eventually will be removed as the city continues to renovate and expand the new park.
When you find the cache container and sign the log, you can begin your return trip along a different path which will allow you to complete another cache "A Stroll Along the River II."
Because this stroll runs in short stretches along the bank of the river, in places the footing can be a bit tricky for some folks. Have raised the terrain difficulty accordingly.
