There is no cache at the above co-ordinates. This 1lt green snaplock can be found only by finding the 6 coloured bird caches located within 50km of Dunedin City Centre. It is located at S45 55.Yellow Blue Green E170 28.Silver Red Black
When placed cache contained pen, log, stickers, a cache coin (which the first finder can keep) and a water pistol.
All 6 bird caches (red, silver, yellow, blue, black and green) along with the box were placed in one day by a team of four and although you could try and find them in that same time frame, we recommend that you instead enjoy the locations that these birds call home.

After finding the Colourful Bird Collection cache look southwards along the coast and you’ll notice an animal proof fence line. This fence line has been put together by over 50 volunteers between 2011 and 2013 to protect nesting birds, in particular the Fairy Prion (see background wallpaper picture), from predators (including rats and possums). This project was sponsored by Forest & Bird and was meant to have been officially opened on 15th September (the day this cache was hidden).
You can wonder along the fence line and the cliff areas but be warned if you’re not at least half mountain goat, take appropriate gear and safety precautions because this is an isolated area with a steep drop.
Don’t worry if you’re less adventurous we put the cache at a point that can be reached safely, just please be mindful of the dangers if taking young children.
