Geocache Description:

Team DKI (Dancing Kayak Idiots) went out one day, looking to clear the area of left-over caches when they came upon this spot. They looked at each other and said "What a place for an event!! Will they come??"

Sunday, November 3rd, 11 am.

This should allow enough time to enjoy the day, and get back to the boat ramp before dark. Don't forget to set your clocks back the night before so you don't miss the party!!

Describe in detail this geocaching experience??? Well, early November in the Dismal Swamp. The foliage should be beautiful.  Bring your own boat. Bring your own pen. Bring your own lunch and drinks. We will supply the log.

OK, here is some information we found out:

Open at 9 am, closes at 7 pm, but boats are to be off the water by dark.
Rentals for canoes and jon boards are $2/hour, daily rate of $20. No more than 2 people per canoe, 3 per jon boat. Pay first hour with cash, pay remaining when you return the boat. That is what they told us. No reservations needed. They have 9 canoes. They will not take the boats to the Ballahack Road boat ramp, but you can.
