Geocache Description:

A hidden gem just 2 blocks south of the Glen Rock. Diamond Brook Park is approximately 15 acres of forest and wetlands.  There are 3 trails within the park.  Diamond Brook, a tribuary of the Passaic River, flows on the western border of the park. The brook is spring fed with its headwaters located north of Glen Rock in Ridgewood.  The park is only open from sunrise to sunset.

The cache is a camo'd metal water bottle. It is off of the red trail, in amoung several fallen giants.  You may need to climb around several large branches. This accounts for the terrain rating. Be sure to take care in getting to the GZ.  Please see waypoint for parking. Park entrance is off of W Main Street.

Diamond Brook was once called Bass Brook due to the good fishing that was once found there.  In the 1870′s, the Marinus Lumber Mill built a water wheel on the brook. When the mill was later torned down, the water wheel was buried beneath a street and is still there today.
